Electric and Magnetic Fields/Electromagnetism

I am having difficulty understanding the difference between electric and magnetic fields. I can't seem to find any online resource that explains the two well. This hiatus in my understanding is also preventing me from fulling understanding the phenomenon of electromagnetic radiation. Can someone please explain how electric and magnetic forces produce electromagnetic radiation?
