PSR J0730-3039 is similar to the famous neutron binary which Taylor and Hulse studied, leading to another set of observational tests of GR (Einstein was proven right, yet again), and Nobels for the guys.
This newly discovered binary is much better though - the GR effects are stronger. Also, statistics on binary neutron stars just got better, so firmer predictions on when LIGO will see its first neutron star merger are now better too.
