With all the noise about information loss recently, I thought I'd ask about a question I have.
I ran across and article one time that showed that the fine structure constant is masked (altered) by the quantum foam (virtual particle field).
IIRC it was associated with Stamford Linear Collider.
Why doesn't this constitute information, if not actual work?
Or was the result shown to be wrong?
