Assuming equal rates of deceleration in both cases, how much further would you travel if braking from 64 mi/hr to rest than from 26 mi/hr
how would i go about answering that?

Hint: This is a kinematics problem. Read up on uniformly accelerated motion.

If you want to get good help here, you must show some work so we can pinpoint where you are getting messed up. (If you haven't a clue how to even attempt a solution, that's usually a sign that you should be studying your textbook! )

It is not possible to say how much forther didstance will be travelled, rather how many times the distance travelled in the first case.

As Doc Al said, you should really go through the theory part properly before taking on problems .
