Hi All,

What would be a good solid reference/book on Nonequilibrium Stat. Mech.
and Information Theory that would be of interest for model building in
life sciences (e.g. molecular biology). Let us assume for completeness
that the reader is well versed in terms of the necessary mathematics
and physics background.

Your comments are most appreciated,

Yg.

Let me know if you find a good one. I've gone through:

Bioenergetics 3 (Nicholls and Ferguson)
Biological Thermodynamics (Haynie)
The Thermodynamic Machinery of Life (Kurzynski)

Which are partially good. I suspect you are in the realm of review
articles rather than books. Again, let me know what you find!

I'd recommend
Reichl, A Modern Course in Statistical Mechanics, 1998
It has a very broad range of topics.
