Hi,
I am working on a problem in which I have to demodulate composite FM signal. Your input towards the solution of this problem is highly appreciated. The problem description is as under.
I have two co-located ultrasonic transducer operating at some frequency say 50 kHz. The transmitter sends off 50khz signal, which strikes the target, the target comprises of multiple surfaces vibrating at different frequencies, and have different velocities. The reflected signal from this multiple vibrating surfaces target is picked by the receiver (a 50 kHz transducer). Now to my understanding the received signal is a composition of more than one FM signal. Each FM signal is carrier signal plus a Doppler shift. Each body component of the target has different Doppler because of their different vibrating frequencies. Now the problem is how to demodulate the received signal and get the information in time domain. Can we get velocity signal for each vibrating component of the target separately or we get only the overall velocity of the target. In each case it is fine with me. If it is a single point scattering I can solve this problem. But since it is now multiple scattering problems, I have difficulty in solving it.
Again, your help will be really appreciated.
Thanks
