4) What was the reception to Lynn's work among the hundreds of US profs who didn't sign the 1994 newspaper ad?

There are two articles indexed in PsycINFO which address the book IQ and the Wealth of Nations directly. They are both reviews. The first is by Marcus Richards, not a signer of the 1994 position statement which appeared in the Wall Street Journal. The second is by J. Philippe Rushton, a signer of the 1994 position statement which appeared in the Wall Street Journal.

Abstract
Discusses the account proposed for the relative decline in US economic performance by psychologist R. Herrnstein (1989). Herrnstein proposes that the low fertility levels among women of higher status and higher IQ is lowering the US national IQ; and that IQ tests are the most reliable predictors of job performance. He claims that the mean US IQ has been falling and is now below that of the Japanese. He has proposed a eugenic remedy for the restoration and maintenance of American economic productivity. The present authors put forth evidence that IQs have been rising in the US, and elsewhere, and that the Japanese IQ is not, in fact, higher than that of the US. The thesis that there is a direct causal link from individual IQ to individual economic productivity to national wealth is critically examined.
