Take a thin wire of thickness D and bend it into a repeating sinusoid with amplitude A>>D and wavelength W (that of visible light), where W<<L, the total length of wire.
What would be the radiative effect from passing various voltages and frequencies through the sinusoidal wire, as opposed to a straight wire? Could such a wire be used as an efficient light source (a "light antenna" or "light radar")?
