Our class is going to be doing a project soon called Egg Scrambler, I'm trying to come up with ideas on how to do this, and any help would be appreciated. heres waht needs to be done:
DESCRIPTION The contestant will design and build a system that will transport a Grade A uncooked chicken egg a distance of 10 meters as fast as possible and stop within 10 cm beyond the finish line without hitting a terminal barrier and without leaving a 2 meter lane. The system consists of two parts, the egg transport subsystem and the energy propulsion subsystem. These subsystems may be seperate or combined into a single unit. The sole source of energy must come from the falling of a mass not to exceed a 2kg.
1. Construction
A. The entire assembled system, in ready to launch configuration, must fit inside of a 1 m cube.
B. The falling mass must not exceed 2kg.
C. Any accessory equipment (such as springs, rubber bands, etc.) must initially be in a completely relaxed state.
D. The transport can't be any higher than 1 inch off the ground at start.
I have a couple of ideas, but any suggestions would be good.
