Does anyone have a contact at a company or university that would be
wiling to test a possible new cuprate superconductor?
I am a private researcher/inventor that has fabricated a new cuprate
material, but no longer have a way of testing its Tc. I can either
mail the sample for testing or provide the formulation on a "non-
confidential basis". I have already filed a provisional patent to
protect myself in case it proves successful.

You cretainly do have a way to test for Tc. Stick in a thermocouple,
cool it in liquid nitrogen below Tc, and float a small magnet above it
(Meissner effect),

Let the liquid nitrogen evaporate and the sample slowly warm. When
the magnet falls, there is your approximate Tc. 100K is boring. 200 K
is not. Confirm with Dry Ice.
Vanadium has a much richer redox chemistry than copper. Even
engineers (things) cannot optimize a surface that has no maxima.
First, call in the chemists (stuff).

Start e-mailing. It's an easier sell if you have a spectacular number
to verify rather than an unknown to measure. Oh yeah... anybody
working with chemicals is a terrorist, drug maker, and an
Enviro-fiend.
