Shiny pennies. Cigar smoke. Malfunctioning movie projectors.
These are believed to be signs of affection, personality and dramatic taste from J. Fred Osterstock, a man long deceased but who occasionally makes his presence and feelings known to staff and volunteers at his former place of employment, the State Theatre in Easton.
Osterstock, better known as Fred the Ghost and the inspiration for the 78-year-old theater's scholastic Freddy Awards, is the main subject of a Travel Channel documentary that has been filming in the Lehigh Valley area this week. [continued]
