Convert the system of forces to an equivalent single resultant force and a corresponding couple at C. Find the projection of the couple at C along a line adjoining DE. Sketch the system.
2. Equations related.
Fr = F_{1} + F_{2} + F_{3}
M = r x F
3. Attempt at the problem.
Is this correct?
Fy = F_{3} - F_{1}
Fx = 0
Fz = F_{2}
Then find Fr = \sqrt{Fy^{2} + Fx^{2} + Fz^{2}}
M = r x F.
So does that mean I draw a perpendicular line from C to the line of D and E.
