1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

Well in my high school physics class everything we do is neglecting air resistance. I was wondering if we were ever not gonna neglect it in high school physics or is that further down the line like in college.

You will find that mainly throughout all education you will neglect air resistance unless specifically studying it. This will probably occur in a fluid dynamics class which not everyone will take in college and is not always offered as a course in some places. It can get quite complicated depending on the shape of the object, the fluid its travelling in, the speed its travelling and thus it tends to be neglected.
