hi all,

i am looking for a formula on how to calculate the temperature of a piece of steel, having the bottom piece perfectly insulated (no heat loss).

Known Values

The analysis is transient, from 0 - 2 seconds.
The depth of the steel (x) with the perfect Insulator (red on image) at the bottom.
The heat flux (Q") applied from the top (green on image).

Thanks for the help!!
Cheers
