1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
[T/F] Shifting of a time-domain signal introduces a linear phase component in the frequency domain.


2. Relevant equations
x(t-t_0) \leftrightarrow X(\omega)e^{-j \omega t_0}

3. The attempt at a solution
According to the book, the answer is TRUE. However, I do not see this. How would e^{-j \omega t_0} be a phase shift, or linear?
