1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
A city maintains a gauge pressure in the ground-level pipes of 41.4 kPa. Is the pressure sufficient to raise the water to a faucet at the top of a 20 m high building?

2. Relevant equations
P = P_0 + Dgh
P = F/A

3. The attempt at a solution
P = (41.4 kPa)(1000 Pa/1 kPa) = 4.14 x 10^4 Pa
D = ???
h = 20 m
g = 9.8 m/s^2

I have no clue what the density of water is in this case. Also, what is P_0? Please help!

Thanks,

J.
