I am writing to inquire what people think (or know) would happen if an earth like planet, formed around a giant disc like object in space. If over many years, floating in orbit around a sun, space dust and particles colliding with it until a spherical planet formed...what would happen to the land mass as it formed. How would the disc at the planets core effect the continental formations, the tectonic plates and all other accounts of land form?
Would such a place be stable or inhabitable?
