Diamagnetic screening magnetic field

Greetings !

I got a bit confused by a problem I considered.
So, just to confirm my scrambled thoughts - if a current
carrying wire is placed in a magnetic field, wouldn't the
resulting Lorentz force on the wire be affected by a diamagnetic
placed near the wire - affecting the distribution of magnetic
field lines ?
