Does anyone know about the theory that in the early stages of the universe, the ever-popular fifth dimension was not curled up at all, and was actually stretched out. With this stretched out dimension, light would have traveled much faster than it does now, because it isn't slowed by the curled dimension. This solves inflation and the horizon problem.
I am not saying that it is true, or that i believe in it. I just want other peoples ideas on the theory.
