Ignoring the clues in her name, and using just the 'facts' in this comic, which countries could Tajel NOT be a (native, citizen) of (as in originally, before applying for her F-1)?

I'll start: NOT the USA (including all territories?) ... 1 down, 100 < n < 200 to go ...

Woah. I didn't even know that this section of PF existed, and yet I've been reading PhD for a while. However, I can't seem to access the site from here, so I'll have to wait until I get back to the US. Either that or post it as a picture .

I'm going to guess Indian, based on the following very thin evidence.

1. There is a facebook entry for Tajel Patel. (http://www.facebook.com/people/Tajel_Patel/687524275)

2. I know some people from India whose name is Patel.

If you ask me - not India. Take a look at the pictures above, gray background people - the way ther are dressed.

I asked some guy from India. He says Tajel is not an Indian name.

With respect to #16 - with a PhD, one is overqualified for most jobs in the US.

I really have to wonder how many people in the world or US google "F-1","Process" and find "The F-1 Process Explained" at PF? Questions, questions - Inquiring minds want to know.

Tajel seems to be an Indian name...depends whom you ask. It is common among the Gujrati community ('Patel' - Gujrati last name). One of my cousins is named Tejal (she spells it differently). But as far as this character is concerned, I'd say the jury's till out on her nationality.
