Space is expanding in the large. It should also be expanding in the small. The local expansion of the universe is hypothesize as the cause of the double slits experiment. Without local expansion of space, the interference pattern cannot be formed.
These patterns should show differences between experiment done in the lab and one done in outer space, away from gravitational field.
