I have a question that i need help solving,I need someone to point me in the right direction or simply help me solve part A and B.
here is the question.
A T beam consists of a flange of width 210mm and depth 40 mm together with a web of width 80mm and depth 170 mm.A tube shaped hole of diameter 60 mm is located in the web with its centre at a height of 60mm from the bottom of the web .
Calculate
The distance from the bottom of the beam to the centroid.
The second moment of area of the cross-section about a horizontal axis through the centroid.
