copper (I) oxide

i have been able to get a small amount of copper (i) oxide [red powder] using electrolysis. is there a way using household chemicals to encourage this instead of the brown/black copper (II) oxide and copper hydroxide? i am trying to harvest as much of copper (i) oxide as i can in powder form....
