Hi there. I am kinda stuck on solving the following second order linear difference equatinos with variable coefficients...
(n/4)y(i+1)+(i+n)y(i-1)-[(5n/4)+i]y(i)=0. i=1,2,3...
Surely the general solution should be in the form C_1y_1(i)+C_2y_2(i), and surely one can put y_1(i)=1. But how to cook up y_2(i)? I tried the polinomials which seems not the case.
Who can give me some advice?
Thanks a lot.
