Who wants to go with me?
I'm thinking Bora Bora. Maybe we can open up a kayak rental shop on the beach. I'm totally open to other suggestions, though. Anything that doesn't involve spending all day in an office.

And, homework, reports, presentations, interviews, food, walking over 20 minutes walks (total of over 1 hr!), work, labs, lectures, internet-computer addiction, insomnia, one mistake email from rez that they are kicking me out lol .... are killing me
I want to go to Tibet and become a monk .

LOL. Nice thread. I would like to run away but I'm supposed to be watching my grandparents to keep them out of a home. My family thought I would be the best since I'm only required to leave for a few hours a day, unfortunately, they are not doing their part to help so I might leave in order to force them to take care of them, but I don't want to abandon the grandparents at the same time.
We all want to get away from our problems at times.

Own your private kingdom where the pirates of the Caribbean landed and Columbus sailed by on his 4th voyage. Save yourself from the predicted catastrophes of 2012 (Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua is depicted as one of the survival zones) and build a fallout shelter so that you can SURVIVE!

Gorgeous picture turbo! Thanks! It was taken on an overcast drizzly day during a hike with a PF friend and his family. I hiked in there on showshoes once in high-school during Christmas break on a sunny but frigid day after a bout of freezing rain. The whole gorge looked like a chandelier - colors everywhere. Of course, I didn't own a camera then, and couldn't have afforded film or processing, so all I have is the memory. When I bump into my friend that snowshoed in there with me (about every 5-10 years) he starts out by saying "remember that day..." and I know Exactly what day he's talking about. It was magic.

Same here, as pretty as Bora Bora is, if you can't swim, it's not the place for me. I would not survive there, plus light skin, yeah, not a good combo.
At first when I saw that pic, I though it was the castle at Disney
You don't have to swim on Bora Bora, there are footbridges laid over water.
But then, going there and not going to water is a waste of place, time and money. You better stay where you are.
Well you could only go in the water heel deep. I'm surprized that some here can't swim. Well, l should not, who cares when living on the continent far from the coast. In The Netherlands where you can't travel 5 miles without crossing water somehow, swimming is teached in primary school.

LOL, then I wonder if the children have to hike into the forest for the alternative disneyland
It appears the water is only slightly above waist deep. I've been on many beaches where you could walk quite a ways out and never get into water above waist deep, sometimes even getting back to where it's only midcalf because of a sand bar. I don't do deep water, I'm with you christina.

And 48 other PFers.
Oh great, I'm glad you all sorted out who you're sharing the bed with. I'm calling dibs on the other bed.
I'm calling dibs on Carole King. Only females (with me as a guide and chaperone) allowed "Up on the Roof" I actually like the Drifters' version, and even James Taylor's version better, but she co-wrote this hit and I respect her talent and her compelling influence in pop music of that age.

BTW, I really do love Carol King. If there is anybody over 40 here that does not know where Billy Joel got his hammering rhythm piano style .... turn in your ears and get an iPod.
