I have just been introduce to an old term: Melancholy Eyes. It apparently refers to the fact that, when one is in a melancholy mood, you can see the some white under the pupils of their eyes. I have verified that this happens - that the pupil seems to contract when one is in melancholy moods. But why does this happen? Does anyone know?
