Imagine you have a a horizontal plate in a frame suspended up and down by 4 strings (2 are attached to the upper border of the frame and 2 at the bottom). just in front of the plate a ventillator is placed. In this way a wind current is created and the plate starts to oscilate up and down with increasing amplitude. Now I want to ask wheter someone of you ever saw/done something similar? And also does the math model of that phenomenon requires intermediate skills at calculus to be developed ?
