A Finite Unified Quantum Field Theory of the Elementary Particle
Standard Model and Quantum Gravity: Based on New Quantum Dimensions &
a New Paradigm
At first glance it sounds quite unreasonable, the book was after all
published a year ago and if the claims stood true I might have heared
about it or have found a reference to it in the archives of s.p.r
(seeing it debunked most likely), so what's up with this? The list of
claimed achievements is impressive indeed:
* Unification of QED, Weak Interactions, Strong Interactions and
Quantum Gravity.
* Finite - No divergences.
* Finite also with massive vector bosons: No need for Higgs mechanism.
* Low Energy Limit: Approximates Standard Model (and QED) to arbitrary
accuracy.
* Suggests possible doubly charged dilepton resonances.
* Large Distance limit of Quantum Gravity: Newtonian gravitational
potential.
* No ultra-microscopic Black Holes.
* A New form of hidden dimensions: Quantum Dimensions.
* A New form of interaction: Dimensional Interactions.
* A New paradigm (type of problem) for the Calculus of Variations.
So what are the general opinions on this work? Is it known at all?
Worth knowing?
cheers,
Frank Hellmann

The author also wrote a book about
'Cosmos and Consciousness: Quantum Computers, Superstrings, Mysticism,
C++ Programming, Egypt, Quarks, Mind-Body Problem, Aliens, Linguistics
and Turing Machines'
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0759602085/qid=1085133880/sr=12-3/104-3905386-1141530?v=glance&s=books
This should put the claims in perspective.

The real question is why Amazon lists this New Age crackpot nonsense
among its books on quantum field theory. Perhaps we should complain to
Amazon.
