Israelis better at manipulating media

As a guide and consultant living in Bethlehem, Palestine, I have regularly coordinated visits for groups of Westerners coming to see Palestinian reality with their own eyes.

Almost always those visitors felt afterwards that what they saw did not correspond with the image of Palestine they had before. Somehow the impact and scope of occupation were never really understood except after experiencing it first hand.

A rather interesting article by one Doctor Toine Van Teeffele.

Van Teeffele is married to a Palestinian woman, which may have coloured his outlook somewhat, it certainly gives credence to possible bias in his statements. Not only that, but his comments do not seem to jibe with those of other reporters complaining about mistreatment by Palestinian factions when they make report that are not favorable to the Palestinian side. Instead it seems to only blame Israel for problems with reporting. Suspect at best.
