Who deserves to be "Other Sciences Guru 2008"?
Many others have displayed their expertise at PF however they answered questions that were soley relevant to their advanced field and thus are understandibly not included here. I would have picked someone that is not currently on the list however from what is available ...
My pick is Borek.
Honorable mentions - Ygggdrasil - for his contribution to P. Chem.

Both Andy Resnick and Chemistree have been outstanding in their help in biology and chemistry, respectively, and have both had CONSISTENTLY high quality posts since joining the forum. Since Chemistree received the award last year, I voted for Andy for this year. Both are highly deserving in this category.

As has Andre. The quality of his posts, research and his gentle nature make him my choice.

I've gotta say that Borek has been doing a fantastic job in the Chemistry forum this year! Thanks for adding his name to the list. (quess who I voted for...)
I would consider it a personal favor if you would vote for him if you have even the slightest inkling of voting for me.....

It was hard picking between the two of you.
Honestly, quite often when Chemisttree adds a comment to the thread I have answered earlier, I feel like an idiot.
Why I voted for Andre: he forces me to question my assumptions. As scientists, we should always be open to questioning what we "know."

Oh, haha I was nominated.
I voted for Any Resnick. Several others here say very interesting things too...
