A neutron star of mass M and radius R is rotating.What should be its period of rotation such that its doesnt become unstable.
This was a question in an entrance TEST i gave recently.. I didnt get what they mean by unstable.
Does the unstability have to do anything with the chandrashekhar limit or the centrifugal vs gravity or something else.
