I saw the nicest shooting star on Friday night. Very large, iridescent blue-green. It was by far the largest and clearest such event I have ever seen, and occured about 50 degrees up, toward the north-east, as I was driving around Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. Usually I only see a sharp little streak of white. This was far larger, and very brief. Quite funky.
Did anyone hear of such an event on that night, in Victoria?
