Being from the reactor side of things, I don't have any
feel for how practical this notion is. I do know that one
of the tough aspects of doing it in a reactor is keeping
the costs down to commercial levels. We were finding
that a decrease of production rates down to 80 percent
of nominal would have precluded commercial operation.
That's how tight our restrictions were.

Anybody here have better info on this accelerator
driven photo fission idea?

Anybody know where I can get a copy of the report
mentioned in the linked article?
