Superstring theories are telling us that the extra dimensions of spacetime do have size and shape.
The size is ultrasmall and the shape is that of a Calabi-Yau. Yet M-theory still cannot tell us how small this size really is, how many factors smaller than the Planck length. Is it back again to zero size?. The original purpose of string was to get away from size of zero. And as for the Calabi-Yau shape, there are almost infinite variations of it.
