If you deposit one layer of material (film) of a thickness tf on top of another material (substrate) of thickness tf at a higher temperature, and then cool it down to room temperature, how can I calculate the force or stress at the interface? Or, calculate the force distribution?

Can someone refer me to a website that explains this?
