I don't like the constant, shameless references and slander about being a Nazi that is thrown around here when people argue talking points. It's really low, and should be an automatic deletion of said post and warning points not to do it again.
I also don't like the level to which people put words into each others mouths. I constantly have this done to me, and I see it done to others. This too, should be taken down and warning points issued. It's highly disrespect and rude to argue straw men like this and it's been going on for quite some time now.
People people are overly speculative and don't reference what they say: or they purposefully misquote what they do read. Again, warning points and don't do it again. Speculation is a huge no-no.
Lastly, although we already have rules in place on using proper English, I don't see it enforced because I am reading more and more posts using abbreviated text like speech. If someone types like this, it would be nice to just take down their post and send them a PM that says please retype properly and repost your comment. In the homework help section we have a format people have to use to ask questions. This forces people to show their work. I've noticed that lots of people ask non-homework related questions without showing any work as to what they have done to try and find the solution themselves because many times using Google provides the answer within a few seconds.
Some of you guys here think I'm a belligerent SOB when I post. You should realize I wouldn't be half as ticked-off as I am if I didn't see the stuff above constantly happening because its not something academics do when interacting. This is, after-all, an academic forum.
For the students reading this: I know you'd never get away with this type of stuff at your University. Please don't think you can do it here.
