I have read recent articles on teleparallel gravity. In those models,
for any solution and two vectors, we can find another solution that
has the same metric and for which those vectors are parallel. I am
asking about a model in which this is not possible.

I have an idea. If w: T(M) -> R^4 is the parallelism form and

g(u, v) = n_{ab} w_a(u) w_b(v)

is the metric, then to take, in harmonic coordinates,

w = \sqrt( n g )
