Hello naftali and welcome to Physics Forums.

1. What is the post limits if I'm not subscribed (I can't find it anywhere)?
There are no post limits whatsoever - you can post as much as you like for as long as you like.

2. Is the a tutorial on how to write equations in the forum?
You can typeset equations using LaTeX, which is the standard typesetting package used in academia. There is a brief introduction here (http://www.physicsforums.com/showpost.php?p=96768&postcount=1). The post also contains links to more in-depth resources.

PM stands for "Private Message" where users can send private messages to each other (check the box in the top right-hand corner of your screen). If memory serves, the inbox of "Standard Users" can hold up to 50 messages.
