I see from http://engineershandbook.com/Tables/frictioncoefficients.htm that the dynamic coefficient of friction (1.4) of dry aluminium on dry aluminium is greater than the static coefficient (1.05 to 1.35).
(this is the only such example in that table)
Why is this? I thought the static coefficient was always greater. :confused:
