Hi there, how are you going? I have attached my working for the question and would like to know if i have approached this question correctly. if i havent then could you let me know where i have gone wrond.

For the first one, you wind up with "3P sin(x)- 2P cos(x)" and set that equal to sin(x). You then say that "3P= 1" and "P= 1/3. Of course, that leaves -2P cos(x)= -2/3 cos(x) on the left side which is not on the right side!

In general, if you have either sin(x) or cos(x) on the right side you will need to try both sin(x) and cos(x), A sin(x)+ B cos(x).

Thanks for that I will redo with both sin and cos and hopefully get both sides to equal zero.
