The hour angle is defined as the local sidereal time (LST) minus the right of ascension of the object you are looking at (RA). My question is, should one use LST defined as local apparent sidereal time (LAST) or local mean sidereal time (LMST)?
Also, the equations I have found for zenith angle are dependent on HA, DEC and LAT but nowhere do I see a dependency on the height of the observer... should there not be a weak dependency?
