I am having a problem extracting the velocity out of this problem. I tried to solve it algebraically first but for some reason I couldn’t get it? I know the answer but working to get it is what is hanging me up. My final is coming up soon and I need to know how to efficiently know how to do problems like these. The more I spend time on this the more confused I get so now its time to ask for some help.
The problem reads as follows: What is the speed of a particle whose mass is twice its rest mass? (b) What is the speed of a particle whose KE is twice its rest energy?
The answer is 2.6 x10 to the 8th power m/s.
