I am a rare phenomenon observed mostly around the holiday seasons.

Everything is pretty good right now. I've sent in an early action application to CalTech and am finishing up my applications to Harvey Mudd and Stanford.

My research group at Arizona State formed a company and we are currently working on a project that is actually successful in experiments and application (meaning against all odds we succeeded in possibly marketing this thing about which I cannot discuss).

All in all I've had an interesting year.

On the way back from an errand this afternoon, I got to a scenic overlook with a view of Maine's western mountains, and they were getting a pretty decent-looking snow-storm, so Sugarloaf, Saddleback, and Sunday River might have good years again. Wescott is training at Sugarloaf this season, instead of with the US ski team, and he is building a house on the flank of the mountain.
