The project deals with the mechanism by which force is produced by site-directed polymerization of actin flaments, a reaction that is pivotal in motile and morphogenetic processes. The approach is both biochemical and biophysical, within an interdisciplinary collaborative ANR funded project with a physics laboratory in Paris.
