Studying for exams, need help on these 2 problems. Was never good at topology :\
1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
1) Suppose we have a covering map f: X to Y, and X is compact. Show Y is compact IFF degree of f is finite
2) What is the fundamental group of S^1 v S^2...What are it's covering spaces?
