find the ground state spin and parity of 7Li and 31P
for 7Li Z=3 N=4 , p in p3/2 state so I = 3/2 , pi = (-1) pow l so its -1 hence I = 3/2 -
for 31P Z=15 N=16 p in 2s1/2 state so I = 1/2 , pi = (-1) pow l bt l =0 hence I = 1/2 +
how to find that proton or neutron is in which state like s,p d, or f state with j = 3/2 or 1/2 (7/2 or 5/2 etc)
as above.. whenever i do i gets confused..can anyone help ?
