Hi all,
I am a big fan of ion engines, and I was convinced that they can do better than 1N of thrust. But recently, when I was thinking of building one, I have discovered that the limitation of thrust is most likely the electric force between electrodes, especially the amount of charge stored on the grids... am I right?
Is this force equivalent to thrust in Newtons?
Thanks for answers.
