Neutron degeneracy pressure is said to result from the uncertainty principle.
Has anyone considered the possibility that it could result from the Casimir effect but this time one in which the plates - represented by neutrons -
are only 10^ - 15 metres apart (average distance between neutrons in a typical neutron star)? And could something similar be true for electron degeneracy pressure in white dwarfs?
