I was wondering how I could calculate the muzzle velocity of a coilgun I am working on. Once I find the magnetic field of the solenoid, how could I calculate the force acting upon a small ball bearing that I am using as ammunition?
I found the conversion:
1 Tesla meter = 1 Newton/Ampere
Is it appropriate to use this equation here? Even if it is not, how was it derived?
