Example of Thermal Equilibrium with Variable T?

Hello, I was wondering if there exists an example of a system in thermal equilibrium with itself even though T variates. As an example for the same principle but then for P instead of T: think of the atmosphere. It is in perfect equilibrium (also for pressure) even though P depends on height.
